Kumai Danda Trek also known as Machhapuchhre Model trek is a trekking trail newly opened by the villagers’ initiative. It lies north of Pokhara in the Machhapuchhre Village Development Committee of Kaski district. It lies at an altitude of 3245 metres above sea level. The hiking trail passes through beautiful villages, homestays, and dense rhododendron forests and reaches picturesque meadows on the foothill of giant mountains which is Khumai dada. We chose this trail because this is newly opened and due to its low elevation, it is a perfect trail for everyone. It is a great option for those people who want to see gradually different landscapes and gradually changing surroundings from one side of the trip to another.
